Hey there, I'm Marcus
Platform Engineer based in São Paulo, Brazil. I hold a Master's degree in Complex System Modeling from the University of São Paulo (USP).
19 years in tech — from infrastructure and IT operations to DevOps and platform engineering. For the last decade I've been writing code full-time, building automation, CI/CD pipelines, and developer tooling. I care about reliable systems, clean abstractions, and making infrastructure disappear so teams can ship faster.
What I'm Working On
OpenClaw — Maintainer of this open-source AI assistant platform. I triage and resolve issues across a high-volume backlog, review and ship community PRs under strict quality gates, and help defend the core/extension boundary so third-party plugins stay stable. My contributions span WhatsApp integrations, UI improvements, CI pipeline optimization, session management, and shell security hardening.
SPKMC — A high-performance epidemic simulation tool I built during my master's research. It implements the Shortest Path Kinetic Monte Carlo algorithm for modeling disease spread on complex networks, with GPU acceleration via RAPIDS cuGraph, experiment-driven workflows, and publication-quality visualizations.
